K obe Bryant, 41, born on August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kobe Bryant played for the Los Angeles Lakers. He joined the NBA at the age of 18 in 1996. He was one of the youngest to play in his first game in 1998. Kobe Bryant has been a success for the Lakers. January 26, 2006, Bryant scored 81 points for his team , which earned them 122-104 win over Toronto. May of 2008, Bryant won an MVP award. He also won a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics.

According to Kobe Bryant’s Season Scoring Stats, he scored on average 35.4 points for the Lakers within the seasons of 2005 and 2006. During this season, it was the Lakers against the Toronto Raptors, Kobe scored 81 points for his team. “Bryant’s 81 point-score marked the only time in NBA history. Bryant was one of the top five to score to at least score 2,800 points in a single season, including a career best 180 3-pointers”.

“February 1, 2010, Kobe Bryant passes Jerry West’s career record of 25,192 as the Los Angeles all-time leading scorer with 25,208 points.” June 17, 2010, he becomes the second all-time NBA MVP.
